Obama and the Democrats have lost badly in this budget showdown, yet they'll insist on calling it a historic victory over the fake deficit crisis.
Because the Democrats are completely unable to fight for the idea of increasing revenue (as opposed to spending cuts), they just took 78.5 billion* out of an already struggling economy.
I fear that every budget battle moving forward will be waged—and lost—in this way. For now, the Republicans are only interested in tanking the economy to win back the White House in 2012.
It's....that....simple.
